How to use toy helicopter
I'll teach you how to fly a toy R/C helicopter in this instructable. This kind of helicopter is more of a toy with basic controls. It may take some time for you to be very excellent at it, but practise makes perfect, as they say. So, let's get this party started :-). Before doing this Instructable, be certain that you are doing it safely. Clear some room for the helicopter to fly, shut all windows and doors, and make sure there are no fans or people in the area. The remote controller may be seen in the image below. There are two primary controls on it. The direction stick and the throttle stick. Trim buttons are also available. So, what do these things do?
+ Throttle stick - This is the left-hand control stick. The helicopter starts to acquire height as you push it up. When you press the down button, the chopper lowers gently till it lands.
+ Direction stick - This is the right-hand control stick. When you press the right button, the helicopter will begin to fly in a clockwise circle. When you press it to the left, the helicopter will begin to spin in a counter-clockwise motion at one spot.
+ Left and right trim buttons - If the helicopter begins spinning anti-clockwise in one spot on its own, continually push the right trim button until it stops spinning. If the helicopter begins to spin clockwise in one spot on its own, continually push the left trim button until the chopper stops. Let's learn how to fly the helicopter now that we've mastered the fundamental controls. First, double-check everything from step one. Turn the helicopter's ON-OFF switch to ON (the helicopter will begin to flash when it is turned on). If not, the battery can be low). Place the helicopter on a level and flat surface (table, book, box, etc.). Take a step back and activate the remote control. Slowly increase the power until the chopper lifts off. The helicopoter will begin to revolve anti-clockwise once in the air. Using the right trim button, keep going until it stops. At this time, learning how to maintain the helicopter at a steady height is more crucial than learning how to direct it. Using the trim buttons, try to maintain the altitude steady while stabilising it. Put in some practise time. Slowly release the throttle stick while maintaining control of the chopper. The helicopter will drop its height and land as a result of this. Now it's time to start steering. Restart the helicopter and controler in the same manner as before. Stabilize the aircraft by pushing the throttle stick up. The helicopter will begin to fly in a clockwise circle if you move the direction stick to the right. Isn't it cool? If you move the direction stick to the left, the helicopter will turn anti-clockwise in one spot (read step 2 again if you're not sure). The aircraft will acquire a modest amount of forward speed if you slowly press the direction stick to the right. This will also cause the helicopter to turn slightly clockwise (if you press the direction stick too far to the right, the helicopter will only turn in a clockwise circle), so compensate by pressing the direction stick to the left. However, be cautious! When pressed to the left, the direction stick is a little more responsive than when pressed to the right (it takes more time for the helicopter to react to the right direction stick command then for the left direction stick command). Simply move the direction stick to the left to determine the direction in which you want the helicopter to fly. The helicopter will spin as a result of this. When you find an angle you like, just move the direction stick to the right.
